Boston often used to be referred to as "Beantown". This was due to its speciality in baked beans. Thankfully, over the years, the city has widened its range! Boston has always been a town which attracted immigrants such as Irish, Indian, Italian and Chinese, and this is reflected in its many restaurants. The North End of the city is predominantly an Italian area and you will find many fine Italian eateries here. Chinatown caters for Chinese food but be careful at night; try to avoid walking alone in the area. Today, seafood is considered to be the new Boston speciality and lobster the new Boston dish. There are many great restaurants in which to check it out. We have included a wide selection of restaurants here but there are plenty more to try out in Boston and its surroundings.
